Description

This was the moment where shooting seascapes first "clicked" with me—the preparation of finding a good spot, the supplies needed to capture the image as I wanted (without getting soaked), shutter speed timing, and composing all the elements.

The most valuable lesson I learned: Preparation of all these aspects, and in-the-moment thinking, are absolutely key. Get it right, and look forward to repeatable results.

This is just breathtaking! It's so beautiful, it's a perfect seascape with all the right elements mixing together perfectly! I love the effect on the water, it almost looks more like curls of mist than actual water, and the sunrise (sunset?) in the background gives the sky a beautiful gradient of colors, all of which give a lovely contrast to the cool hues of the water. Fantastic work!
